11/3/18- an example of a small Z plan unharled Tower House. Built in 1610. Moved to Tillydrone in 1964 and rebuilt. Known locally as the Wallace Tower - according to folklore the figure of a praying knight is William Wallace. This is an error as according to Brogden this figure was placed in a recess in the wall in the early 18th C by a tobacco shop owner.
