Curious about the urban past of Inverness? This is your chance to find out more about the city's history and getting involved with Scotland's Urban Past.

Join us from 4pm at this event in Inverness to learn more about the city's history and how you could get involved with Scotland's Urban Past.

There will be the chance to investigate the history of local landmarks, explore the collection of the Inverness Museum & Art Gallery and discover how you could get going with a community-led project through Scotland's Urban Past.


This event will run from 4pm - 6pm at Inverness Museum & Art Gallery, Castle Wynd, Inverness, IV2 3EB.

Learn new skills and share stories about your local area with three short training sessions by the Scotland’s Urban Past team.

The tasters will include:

  • Developing Your Observational Skills
    Learn how to interpret buildings and monuments through observation and reading historical maps.
  • Inverness Through the Ages
    Get hands-on with Inverness past and present through archival collections.
  • Map Your City
    Create your own map of Inverness, inspired by landmarks, memories and stories.
