PAST EVENT: Mapping Your Aberdeen

Our drop-in event for people of all ages gives you the chance to get creative and make a map of your Aberdeen as part of the Festival of Architecture!

Pop-up Mirrored Pavilion, Castlegate, Aberdeen

Visit one of the Festival of Architecture’s most unique festival venues, the student designed Mirrored Pavilion, and create a map of your Aberdeen.
By mapping out your community, town or city, you begin to think about the people, buildings and environment around you. Featuring everything from big landmarks to personal memories to sights, sounds and smells, mapping gives you the chance to get creative, record and visualise the places that matter to you!
This drop-in event is running all day and is suitable for people of all ages.
Please note, a photographer may be present at Scotland's Urban Past events and the images may be used for promotional purposes. 

The Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design 2016 is a Scottish Government initiative being led by VisitScotland and supported by partners Scottish Government, Creative Scotland, Architecture + Design Scotland, Scottish Tourism Alliance, Scottish Enterprise, The National Trust for Scotland, Historic Environment Scotland and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. 
This event is run in collaboration with the Aberdeen Society of Architects as part of the Festival of Architecture, connecting Scottish communities and visitors with architecture through events and exhibitions.There are over 400 events taking place across Scotland in 2016 as part of the Festival of Architecture celebrations.
